Thought – Dream or Reality
Today is filled with ups and downs. Jesus was on trial and another criminal was released in place of Him. Jesus was made fun of and beaten almost to where you could not even recognize Him. Those who loved Him stood at a distance wondering if this was real or a dream. At nine in the morning Jesus was nailed to a cross, and for six long hours hung naked and alone. One group of people looking on with the sense of power and accomplishment, another group looking on in disbelief and sorrow. The two groups of people so close in proximity to each other but with very different feelings and responses. A man called Joseph with awareness and common sense arranged the burial, so Jesus could be put in the grave with a little bit of dignity.
My friend I wonder if you can recall a day that something happened during the day that you did not expect at the beginning of that day, I know I have had those days. But Jesus knew exactly what was going to happen. Before the world was even made the plan was already in motion. The plan of redeeming your life and restoring it to God. No dream here this is reality my friend. God loves you so much, He sent Jesus, his Son for your restoration. You may be caught by surprise of the things that happen in your life, but God is not. Because he knows what you need when you need it. It is no surprise to Jesus the things you are going through, so He has the answer for ways you can overcome them. In the ups and downs of life take courage my friend that God has a plan and purpose for you in every part of life.
Today ask Jesus to speak to you about how He will work the ups and downs of your life for your good.
“But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, Philippians 3:7-9
‘And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
